The University of Exeter VSimulators team are delighted to announce that a video created by Rowe Films, demonstrating the recently opened and operational commercial and research facility in action, is now available to view.
The cinematic, short cut version of the promotional film can now be watched at https://vimeo.com/488500651
The longer version of the video will be available in the new year.
Filming took place at the state-of-the-art facility at Exeter Science Park, which has the capability of replicating a range of commercial and research environments either physically or virtually, immersing research volunteers in a simultaneous experience.
Action sequences were filmed on the VSimulators motion platform, with demonstrations by people moving on the platform, using motion capture markers that collect human movement data.
The shorter version of the film contains snippets from an interview about the facility with Professor James Brownjohn, Professor of Structural Dynamics and Lead Academic for VSimulators@Exeter.
The longer film, which will be designed to provide more information about VSimuators@Exeter will include conversations with industry and academic users of the facility, about the various multi-disciplinary research areas, such as engineering and health and wellbeing, which are being explored, and the journey to creating the platform.
The aim of the video is to demonstrate the capabilities of the VSimulator to parties interested in using the facility, until it is possible for us to host a physical launch, giving attendees the chance to experience the facility for themselves.
Once completed, the longer video will be uploaded onto the VSimulators website and distributed to parties who have expressed an interest in using the facility. A shorter, more dynamic version will be simultaneously produced for use on social media.
